Dr. John Strong Ph.D. and Dr. Lily Strong Ph.D. - CEOs, Psychiatrists
Dr. John and Dr. Lily met in the pre-medicine program at the University of Michigan in 1992. They continued their studies there, both receiving a Doctor of Medicine and Psychiatry in 2000. They got married right after graduation. Between 2000 and 2014 they both served as behavioral health specialists at various treatment centers. In 2014 they started the Walnut Creek Youth Center. Skilled friends and colleagues joined them, sharing their passion for battling teen drug addiction.
Dr. Rose Emerson, M.D. - Medical Director
Dr. Rose Emerson graduated from the University of Florida in 1975. Later she completed medical school at the University of Michigan, where she met and worked with the Strongs. She completed her surgical residency at the University of Michigan Health System. She joined the Strongs and Jaime Reed in 2014 to start the Walnut Creek Youth Center as Medical Director. As the center has grown, Dr. Rose has hired additional specialists so that each teen has the one-on-one care that they need.
Jaime Reed - Teacher
Jaime Reed studied both English and Education at Liberty University, receiving a dual graduate degree in 2007. After college, she taught English for ten years at Skyline High School in Ann Arbor, MI. Jaime says that many of her students were affected by drug and alcohol addiction and she saw what their families went through. She attended the Behavioral Health Seminar in 2012. There she met the Strongs. In 2014 she agreed to help them start the Walnut Creek Youth Center. Since opening, Jaime has built a strong, accredited educational team. The team offers teens the option to continue schoolwork during their treatment.
